Frank Bruni, a New York Times columnist and Duke University professor, told a Stuart audience that public trust in journalism and higher education has eroded due to media fragmentation, the Iraq War fallout and growing ideological divides, while also warning that attacks on colleges have “gone too far.” Speaking at Temple Beit HaYam as part of the Rappaport Speaker Series, he argued that although AI will replace some information-driven reporting jobs, it cannot replicate investigative journalism or human storytelling.
